Over the next several months I will be sharing information about some of our community partners. The hope is to make you aware of services and opportunities that are available to you as a resident of Boyle County. There are so many folks doing such great things in our community, and I hope you will take the time to connect with them, either for services that they offer, or to volunteer in some form or fashion. First up… Centro Latino.
Centro Latino, located at Toombs Court, is a connecting organization that welcomes all members of the community, regardless of ethnicity, spoken language, or nation of birth, to visit for help in identifying available resources for low-income individuals. Bilingual Centro Latino representatives can help you register for the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center’s Reduced Fee Program (open to low-income and uninsured individuals), the HOPE Clinic (management care for preventable diseases), and Head Start (for low-income or differently-abled preschoolers). They host weekly English classes, and several times a year they host immigration events and health fairs. Visit them at the community building on Toombs Court, call at 859-324-0018, or visit them online at https://centrolatinodedanvilleky.wordpress.com/
