ANNOUNCEMENT: EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR - Stanford Housing Authority

About the Stanford Housing Authority:
Stanford Housing Authority has 50 public housing units in Stanford, KY. The Stanford Housing Authority is governed by a five-member Board of Commissioners. The Commissioners are appointed by the Mayor of Stanford.
The Executive Director is responsible for all aspects of the operations including administration, management, development, and financial control. 
 
*Qualified applicants should submit an application package which includes 1) A letter of intent with salary and total compensation expectation 2) a current resume with salary and total compensation history; and 3) a minimum of (3) professional references. Failure to include all of the above-named items in the submission may result in disqualification.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Public Administration, Business Administration or related fields and five (5) years responsible administrative experience, preferably in subsidized housing or local government. Knowledge of construction, development, and renovation; in addition, successful candidate must have a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in financial and budget management and have a thorough knowledge of computer programs and applications that are commonly used in the industry. Hands-on development experience is necessary.
 
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  1. Thorough knowledge of PHA’s policies and procedures.
  2. Thorough knowledge of HUD regulations and guidelines.
  3. Thorough knowledge of accounting, General Ledger accounting, Budget Preparation and Fiscal reporting.
  4. Considerable knowledge of city and state laws and local government policies and practices of public administration.
  5. Good knowledge of federal programs pertaining to housing.
  6. Ability to write clear and concise reports, directives and letters for the PHA.
  7. Must possess valid Kentucky Driver’s License.
 
LICENSURE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Possess or acquire Public Housing Manager Certificate from a HUD approved organization within the 1st year of employment.
