Important Notice: One-Bedroom Waiting List Closed

Effective Tuesday, December 16, 2025, the Housing Authority of Danville has closed the One-Bedroom Waiting List due to a high volume of current applicants and extended wait times.

At this time, HAD is not accepting new applications for one-bedroom units.

All other waiting lists remain open unless otherwise noted.

The agency will monitor the waiting list regularly and will announce on this website when the one-bedroom waiting list reopens.

The mission of the Housing Authority of Danville is to cost effectively assist eligible very low- and low-income families by providing opportunities for affordable housing and socioeconomic advancement in a discrimination-free environment; and to affirmatively address the physical needs of the Authority's housing developments to ensure a decent, safe, and sanitary environment for employees and residents.

Since 1950, the Housing Authority of Danville has been dedicated to providing high-quality, affordable housing opportunities for residents of Danville and Boyle County, Kentucky. As a federally assisted agency regulated by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), we serve our community through the Public Housing Program, ensuring safe and stable housing for very low- to low-income individuals, families, seniors, and persons with disabilities.

Governed by a five-member Board of Commissioners - including the Mayor and a Resident Commissioner - the Housing Authority of Danville owns and manages 394 public housing units across eleven neighborhoods. Housing assistance is income-based, ensuring accessibility to those in need.
