Satellite Dish Requirements
- Resident and Installer must notify the Housing Authority of Danville Housing Manager over the particular property before any installation is started.
- Must be installed by a professional satellite dish installer using appropriate materials i.e., metal poles that are made for a satellite dish.
- Dish cannot be attached to building i.e., walls, roof, eave, porch post, etc.
- Resident will be responsible for all costs and maintenance
- Dish cannot be installed in front of building
- Dish cannot be larger than 36" in diameter.
- Must be installed no more than one (1) ft. from building unless a Housing Authority designated representative approves an alternate location due to unforeseen circumstances that would allow reception and be more suitably located for the property's benefit. If a suitable alternate location is unavailable, satellite installation will be denied.
- Cable must be attached to building properly
- Cable cannot wrap around building
- Cable must be underground from dish to building
- Any trenches dug for burying the cable must be covered properly, seeded and straw applied. Resident will be charged if done by housing authority personnel.
- Resident must remove dish and pole at move out to avoid a charge for removal. Any damages to interior or exterior in connection with the installation or removal of the dish satellite will be charged to the resident.
- Housing Authority will not be responsible for damage to dish or cable during maintenance repairs or mowing, etc.
- Housing Authority accepts no responsibility for damage to dish or cable by other residents, contractors or guests.
- Final approval must be done by the housing manager.
- Only one dish per unit will be allowed.
- Any previous satellite dish must adhere to all of the above requirements to be approved.
- Failure to abide by the above rule(s) will be constituted as a material lease violation
*Housing Manager or Maintenance staff must be present for the dish installation, Resident/Head of household must show these rules/requirements to the installing contractor.
